Drone strike on a passenger minibus · ~15:10
At about 15:10 on Sunday 25 October a Russian attack drone hit a minibus carrying passengers in the Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. A man aged 67 died of his injuries in hospital; two men and three women, aged 21 to 67, were injured. The first report gave six injured; one of them later died. The strike came a day and a half before a ceasefire for aid and evacuation began around occupied Oleshky, across the Dnipro. The UN Commission of Inquiry has found that Russia's drone attacks on Kherson's civilians are the crime against humanity of murder, part of a coordinated state policy (A/HRC/59/CRP.2, 2025).
